Our 14-day Everest Base Camp trek package is priced at ₹85,000 per person for Indian travellers. It is a guided package, so the main trek costs are already inside that figure. This page explains what the rupee price covers and what you should still keep money aside for.
What the ₹85,000 covers
The price is for our Everest Base Camp trek, 14 days. It is built around a licensed guide, a porter, the trek permits, the flights between Kathmandu (or Ramechhap) and Lukla, and all meals while you are on the trek. Hotel nights and breakfast in Kathmandu are part of the plan as set out in the package, and the exact inclusions list is on the package page and in your written quote.
For the line-by-line view, read what is and is not included in the package.
What is not in the price
- Travel to Kathmandu. Your flight from India to Kathmandu is booked separately.
- Travel insurance. Insurance covering high altitude trekking and helicopter evacuation is mandatory for our treks and is bought by you.
- Personal spending. Drinks, snacks, hot showers, charging and Wi-Fi on the trail, laundry and souvenirs.
- Tips. Tipping the guide and porter is customary. See how much to tip.
- Gear you rent or buy. Sleeping bags and down jackets can be rented in Kathmandu if you do not own them.
- Extra days. Spare days for flight delays are not part of the 14-day plan. See who pays when Lukla flights are delayed.
Indian travellers: no Nepal visa fee
Indian citizens do not need a visa for Nepal, so that cost does not apply to you. Carry a valid photo ID that is accepted for entry, such as a passport or voter ID, and read the document guide for Indian trekkers before you fly.
How much extra cash to carry
Plan your pocket money separately from the package. The trail is a cash economy and prices rise as you climb because everything is carried up. Our pocket money guide lists what to expect for food, drinks, charging and showers.
How payment works
Bookings are confirmed with a deposit paid in advance, usually by bank transfer or online card payment. The balance is paid at our Kathmandu office on arrival. The full terms, including card fees and refunds, are set out on our terms page. Ask us for the payment schedule that applies to your dates when you request the quote.
Does the price change?
₹85,000 is the standard 14-day package price. Group size, season, a higher standard of lodge, or add-ons such as a helicopter return can change the figure for your trip, so we confirm the final price in writing for your dates. For the reasons behind price changes, see what affects the cost of the Everest Base Camp trek.
