Small deposit in India. Balance in Nepal.
Before you pay a deposit for your Nepal trek, read our booking terms and conditions. They explain what your trek price covers, which costs are extra, and what happens if flights are delayed or your plans change.
These are the sections trekkers check most often:
Not sure about something? Call or WhatsApp us on +91 932 595 1234, or send us a message. We will explain any term before you book.
Our full Everest Base Camp packing checklist covers every item with practical advice. You can also download the packing list as a PDF to print or keep on your phone.
If something is missing when you reach Kathmandu, you can buy or rent almost any trekking gear there at reasonable prices. Buy your hiking boots before you travel, though, and break them in, because a good fit matters more than anything else you carry.
A few practical points before you pack:
A teahouse circuit around Manaslu (8,163m) that starts at Soti Khola, follows the Budhi Gandaki to Samagaon, crosses Larkya La at 5,106m and finishes at Dharapani on the Annapurna side.
It uses teahouses throughout and fewer days. The camping listing uses tents and extra rest days.
Soti Khola, Machha Khola, Jagat, Dyang, Namrung, Samagaon (two nights), Samdo, Dharmashala, Bimthang, Dharapani and the road to Kathmandu.
Larkya La at 5,106m. The facts box lists 5,215m, so treat it as about 5,100 to 5,200m.
Day 12 from Dharmashala to Bimthang is one of the toughest days: a very early start, a long climb and a steep, loose descent.
An extra night at Samagaon, short days to Samdo and Dharmashala. A 15-day plan is tight, so do not hurry.
The crossing can be delayed or cancelled. Allow spare days, and extra days are INR 6,000 each.
Yes. Plan several months of hill training.
Restricted-area special permits, processed in Kathmandu on Day 2, plus the Manaslu and Annapurna conservation permits and TIMS. They are included, and we need your passport scan in advance.
A local bus to Soti Khola, and on the return a jeep from Dharapani to Besisahar followed by a bus to Kathmandu.
No. The page also mentions a Lukla baggage allowance, which does not apply to this trek.
March to June and September to November, per the facts box. The FAQ also lists February to May and September to December.
Teahouses throughout. The night before the pass may be a basic lodge or tent.
Airport transfers, three Kathmandu nights, lodging, a guide, porters, permits, taxes, a first aid kit and a farewell dinner. The page says all meals are included, but the terms treat some meals as extra, so confirm with us.
Visa, gear rental, tips, bottled water and snacks.
We do not sell it, so you arrange your own. It should include cover up to 5,200m, hospital treatment and rescue by helicopter. Email the policy before departure, and read the insurance section of our terms.
The guide decides whether you walk down or fly, then our Kathmandu office books the helicopter and talks to your insurer. A flight can cost USD 5,000 or more. Ask the hospital for a written report for your claim.
They work for our Nepal operator, Himalayan Wonders Adventure Pvt. Ltd., which holds the licences and carries responsibility on the ground. See the team page for the people behind it.
Not in India, where we only take bank transfer or UPI. Overseas guests can pay the deposit online by card (4.5% fee) or by transfer. In Nepal the balance can be paid by card, but that adds 13%, so most guests bring cash in a major currency.
Half comes back if you ask within 30 days of booking. Beyond that, keep it as credit for up to 365 days on any of our trips. It is lost only if you neither arrive nor tell us.
Tell us at least 14 days ahead, and 6 weeks ahead for free changes. You can do it repeatedly, paying only any price increase for the new date.
Unused days and services are not refundable because the team has already been committed. We arrange your return, but extra costs are yours. Ask your insurer about trip-curtailment cover.
There is no single supplement when you join a group. If you are the only booking on a fixed departure, a Solo Support Fee of INR 1,500 per day covers a dedicated porter, and it is waived if other guests join. We tell you at booking or as soon as it arises.
Tell us your group, your dates and your budget. We will shape this trek around you.
