Kala Patthar (5,545 m) and Gokyo Ri (about 5,357 m) are the two big viewpoint hikes in the Everest region, and Tengboche (about 3,860 m) is a gentler one. In the Annapurna region the Mardi Himal upper viewpoint, at about 4,200 m, is a similar high-hill goal.
