New and record claims
Kajin Sara in Manang was reported by mountaineers as a possibly very high lake. Kapuche, near Sikles in the Annapurna region, is described as a low-altitude glacial lake. See what is known about both lakes.
The famous lakes, for comparison
Rara, Phoksundo, Tilicho and Gosainkunda are far better known. See Rara Lake, Shey Phoksundo Lake, Tilicho Lake and Gosainkunda.
What hidden really means
A hidden lake is usually one with a long approach, little lodging and few visitors. It does not mean unmapped. Local people know every lake on this page, and several are places of pilgrimage.
