Manaslu Circuit vs Annapurna Circuit compared: altitude, difficulty, permits, crowds, lodges and season, with 2026 route status and who each suits.
The Manaslu Circuit is a 14 to 18 day teahouse trek around Mount Manaslu (8,163 m), the eighth-highest mountain in the world. It crosses the 5,160 m Larkya La pass and passes through the Nubri region of northern Gorkha. Because it lies in a restricted area, daily visitor numbers are far lower than on the Everest and Annapurna routes, which makes it one of the most rewarding long treks in Nepal for experienced hikers.
